If you are 24 or over, this will allow you to train and take your test on a large capacity bike of at least 595cc and engine power of at least 40kw (54 bhp).  However if you have completed 2 years at A2, you can upgrade to full A licence at 21 Years.
Full A Licence training minimum requirements:

  • You must Have Catagory A provisional entitlement on UK driving licence
  • You must hold an in date DL196 (CBT certificate) - to 125cc
  • You must pass the written theory test before the Module 1 test and Module 2 road test can be booked.

Your instruction will take place on one of our 600cc motorcycles and will start on our secure training area, to get you familiar with the controls of the machine to prepare you for the Module 1 test. This test is usually carried out at the DVSA test centre, located in Wakefield.

On completion of the Module 1 test your 1st Bike Rider Training instructor will continue your Module 2 training on various roads to give you more confidence before your module 2 test. This test can be carried out at various DVSA test locations, our prefered centre being located at York.  However there are other centres located around the Yorkshire area.

When you pass both Module 1 & Module 2 you will be able to:

  • Ride a motorcycle of any size.
  • Ride without L-plates.
  • Carry passengers.
  • Ride on motorways.

Cost of instruction - £30.00 per hour - £30 Reservation Fee*
Module 1 test fee - £15.50 (to DVSA).
Module 2 test fee - £75.00 (to DVSA).

Full A Licence Training

Don't have your own equipment? Don't worry - 1st Bike Rider Training will provide you with the following-

  • Motorcycle helmet & Radios.
  • Waterproof jacket and waterproof trousers.
  • Protective gloves.
  • Scooter or Geared motorcycle (if required).

Please ensure you bring with you your Photocard driving licence, valid in date CBT certificate and DVSA Theory Test certificate (if already obtained).
